ALL 4 NATURAL HEALTH – Attaining Good Health NaturallyIssue 09/006
In the arena of health, including natural health, much focus is usually placed on what needs to be done, what needs to be taken, and what needs to be eaten. But there is one aspect which I feel is often missing - inspiration and motivation! Generally speaking, I'm a quotes person. So, I have compiled a number of quotes, quotes which I feel can educate, inspire and motivate us on the subject of health. Quite a number of areas are covered. One of the first, and perhaps one of my favorites, is "personal responsibility". "The first step in natural healing is responsibility. Natural healing is about taking control of your life and being responsible for everything that goes in and out of your body, mind and spirit." - Richard Schulze "Every human being is the author of his own health or disease." - Buddha Linus Pauling adds: "Do not let either the medical authorities or the politicians mislead you. Find out what the facts are, and make your own decisions about how to live a happy life and how to work for a better world." - Linus Pauling Indeed. For me personally, I definitely do not trust the medical system and the drugging and cutting it promotes. Remember, only you, and nobody else, are responsible for your own health. Making decisions, though, can sometimes be oh so hard, especially with the multitude of different viewpoints out there, even among natural health advocates. This is a topic I will touch on a little more next time, but some examples which come to mind include: Is soy good or bad for health? Is a vegetarian diet necessary for good health? Is distilled water or reverse osmosis water better? Some experts even believe we should not be taking herbs or supplements at all, but only relying on food. If and when you are feeling overwhelmed (which we often are, especially those of us who encounter serious illness), this is what Dr Richard Schulze has to say: "Trust yourself and stop asking so many questions. You will find your own answers as you go through the process." - Richard Schulze Perhaps a little harsh, but I roughly know what he means. As I go along, I, too, discover answers, what my body prefers, and what is best for it. If you take personal responsibility, I believe that you, too, will find your answers, as Dr Schulze says.
