Allergies Dizziness - Trying a Natural Approach

What is the allergies dizziness connection, and how do we deal with it?

Allergies stem from an over-responsive immune system leading to an immune response that is incorrect.

Our immune system has been put into place to protect us against harmful and / or invading agents, be they bacteria or viruses. When immune systems come in contact with an allergen (usually harmless) and recognizes it may be harmful, it releases a chemical such as histamine for protection.

Oversensitive immune systems have a tendency to overreact, flooding the body with 'protection' to a point the body is utterly defenseless. Instead of help, it has caused harm in the form of watery, itching eyes, swelling, the over production of mucus, and / or allergies dizziness for some and in others rashes or hives.

A note about Allergies Dizziness - Trying a Natural Approach

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Allergies and dizziness are health issues that often go together. With so much of the defense being directed toward the eyes and nose, the sinuses as well as the ears become involved too, causing dysfunction / infection in the Eustachian tube. Ultimately, the balance is disrupted, causing a feeling of dizziness; hence the allergies dizziness link. This is especially true if the allergens are breathed in, such as in the case of pollen, mold, dust and / or pet dander.

Dizziness comes in several forms. The two most commonly related to allergies are lightheadedness and vertigo. Whereas lightheadedness tends more to be a feeling of faintness as if you might pass out, vertigo is the feeling that the room is spinning around you with no movement involved. Either can be accompanied by nausea or vomiting if the symptoms are severe enough. With severe vertigo, you may have trouble orienting even after lying down, and this can be accompanied by an inability to walk or even stand.

Allergies dizziness can occur in allergy sufferers of any age, but it is most common among older people who have more bouts with allergenic sinuses. A fear of dizziness with its symptoms (lightheadedness, shortness of breath, confusion) can cause older adults to limit activities for fear of falling and other injuries, and have caused them to seek a more natural form of treatment.

Some of the more common treatments for allergies dizziness include nasal sprays and decongestants, Benadryl type drugs, anti-histamines, and corticosteroids in more severe cases; but as some have discovered, dizziness is listed as a side-effect. Some sufferers try to avoid airborne allergens during the 'season', while others get mask type air purifiers and just stay away from dusty or polluted areas.

Still others go back to the immune system where it all began and start there by taking steps to strengthen it in a natural way. Supplement a diet of whole raw fruits and vegetables with vitamin C rich foods such as citrus-limes (juice from ½ in water), berries, and grapes as they are all natural decongestants as well as antitoxic / antiallergenic agents. Put into practice juice fasting in order to keep your body flushed, cleansed and free of toxins. This is excellent natural defense against allergies dizziness.

Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) brings relief, as does vitamin E (has effective anti-allergic properties also). Incorporate omega 3 fatty acids to help fight inflammation (cold-water fish, walnuts and flaxseed oil). The herb stinging nettle works in much the same way as many of the over-the-counter options, without the side effects. It inhibits the body from producing histamine.

Establish an eating schedule of 4 to 5 smaller meals throughout the day, and begin a routine of moderate exercises. At the end of the day, a strong and healthy body is the best way to prevent and treat allergies dizziness.
