What is flax oil? Well, as the name suggests, flax oil is oil that is obtained from flax seeds. This natural oil is known either as flax seed oil, flax oil or linseed oil. It is highly recommended for general well being and whole body nutrition and is considered to be nature's richest source of Omega-3 fatty acids that are required for the health of almost all body systems.

A note about the Benefits of Flax Seed Oil

However, as not everyone can readily convert ALA into EPA and DHA, it would probably be a good idea not to rely solely on flax seed oil for one's requirement of Omega-3 fatty acids. Having said that, ALA does bring about health benefits of its own, and also aids in maintaining the balance of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.
