A note about About Elbow Bursitis

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Symptoms of Bursitis in Elbow

Some of the signs and symptoms of olecrenon bursitis are as described below:

  • Like in most other cases of bursitis, swelling is a major symptom, but due to the elasticity of the skin in the elbow region, initially the swelling might not be obvious.

  • As the inflammation increases, the bursa will increase in size and the swelling will become clearly visible.

  • There will be tenderness to touch and reddish discoloration of the skin in the swollen area.

  • Pain associated with movement, strain, and lifting weight is another main symptom associated with elbow bursitis.
  • Diagnosis of Bursitis of the Elbow

The diagnosis of bursitis in the elbow typically involves an initial discussion session, where the physician will record the possible causes of the condition and history of symptoms experienced by the patient. After this, there will normally be a detailed physical examination to check for signs of inflammation, such as pain, redness, warmth, soreness, etc.

If required, further checks such as x-ray, bone scan, and MRI scan may be carried out.
