A note about Essential Oils Hair Loss Treatment or RemediesIn natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases. In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. Taking these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of certain holistic remedies. Hair loss can be partial (as with a thinning or receding hairline) or total (baldness). When hair loss occurs in patches, it is termed alopecia areata; if total loss occurs, it is called alopecia totalis. This term includes what has come to be known as male pattern baldness, which has been determined to be largely genetic (inherited). Women can also suffer from age-related hair thinning or loss, but also suffer more acutely during times of hormonal shift, such as the onset of menopause or during pregnancy. Hair loss can also be triggered by a number of illnesses (such as thyroid conditions) or can be caused by treatments for certain diseases, such as that seen during radiation or chemotherapy to combat cancer. In addition, hair loss can be caused by poor diet and nutrition, and has been seen in women suffering from anorexia nervosa or bulimia for this reason. Stress, too, works as a contributing factor, as do harsh treatments such as repeated dyeing, bleaching, curling and similar practices. How do we carry out essential oils hair loss treatment? Essential oils can treat hair loss most efficiently through daily scalp massage. Aromatherapeutic massage stimulates the scalp's skin and rejuvenates follicles. An age-old French remedy for essential oils hair loss treatment consists of rubbing a nettle or watercress solution into the scalp to retain and encourage hair growth. The solution consists of 4 tablespoons of nettle leaves boiled in 18 ounces of water for approximately seven minutes, then simmered for an additional twenty minutes. The cooled formula may be rubbed into the scalp twice a day. Pimento, clary sage and coconut essential oils also work wonders on the scalp, and can be used as part of essential oils hair loss remedies. Scalp massages should be used in conjunction with sensible dietary changes that embrace foods which contain vitamins and minerals such as vitamins B, F and C that have beneficial effects on hair growth, the circulatory system and capillaries. Iron and cobalt regularize the circulatory system, copper reduces hair loss, and iodine protects the capillaries. If you know that stress has be plaguing you lately and might be a contributing factor, eat plenty of asparagus, leek, celery, cabbage, radishes, raisins and melons, as these have the natural sedative bromine in abundance. In addition to dietary changes, be sure to use only mild shampoos and dispense with the chemical treatments as described above. Quality shampoos will have more natural ingredients than not, and they are worth a little investment. If you must dye or perm your hair, try to use the most natural products and processes possible. Be sure to read labels, and avoid dyeing or otherwise chemically treating your hair too frequently. These steps are important in complementing the use of essential oils hair loss treatments. Another hair tonic to try for thinning hair consists of 300 ml rosewater, 3 teaspoons of cider vinegar (the base), 7 drops rosemary oil, and 5 drops sandalwood oil. The scalp may be massaged in the following manner. With your fingers, press firmly and move the fingers through the hair, applying consistent pressure to the scalp as you proceed from forehead to the nape of the neck. Avoid simply moving the fingers through the hair; the scalp itself should be massaged. Cover the entire head, working from front to back, then back to front. Other popular essential oils in treating hair loss or thinning include bay, chamomile, jojoba, grapefruit, lemon, rosemary, lavender, cedarwood and thyme. As with most natural treatments, do not expect a miraculous overnight change with the use of essential oils hair loss remedies, but hair loss should noticeably diminish after three months or so.
