A note about Fibromyalgia Acupuncture TreatmentIn natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases. In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. Taking these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of certain holistic remedies. In addition to these symptoms, patients also experience stiffness, headache and facial pain, abdominal discomfort, irritable bladder, numbness, chest pain, cognitive problems, photosensitivity, disorientation & vertigo. Most patients suffering from fibromyalgia belong to the age group 34 to 56 years and ten to fifteen percent of these patients are highly debilitated. As explained earlier, the causes for fibromyalgia remain undetermined by certain conditions that could cause potential reactions include microbial infection, trauma, or autoimmune diseases. Scientific research studies indicate that acupuncture treatment could create complex alterations in the human brain and body, which could stimulate the various nerve fibers. These nerve fibers would in turn send signals to the brain and spinal cord to discharge certain hormones that block pain and makes the patient feel better. Some studies showed that acupuncture treatment increases the pain threshold, which is normally low in patients suffering from fibromyalgia. Thus by increasing the pain threshold, patients will experience or suffer less pain. According to Oriental Medicine or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture treatment works primarily by fixing the energy channels throughout the patient's body. This is done by inserting fine needles into the trigger points of the patient's body, manipulating them to release the blocked energy, thereby ensuring all organs have sufficient flow of energy and normal functioning of all body parts is restored. This is largely how fibromyalgia acupuncture treatment works, too. For more information on acupuncture treatments, read the other related acupuncture articles.
