Get Rid of Cellulite Naturally - Tips

Do you wish to get rid of cellulite on your body?

Fat is a natural part of the human body's composition. However, excess fat brought on by sedentary lifestyles and excessive food intake is quite unhealthy.

Surprisingly, though, the fact that excess fat on the body is unhealthy is not generally the reason for our society's dread of fat. No, there is a far more common reason to hate fat - because it is unsightly and unwanted.

Perhaps the most acute example of our dislike of fat is cellulite. There are countless products, procedures, and potions available that claim to be the answer to cellulite. Indeed, the term "cellulite" was created by the French to describe the 'dimpled' fat that tends to collect around the hips and thighs, and has since been sustained by the cosmetic industry.

Of course, wish though we may, there is no simple, miraculous means by which to entirely eliminate cellulite. In fact, although cellulite can be reduced and diminished, its presence may never be entirely within our control.

A note about Get Rid of Cellulite Naturally - Tips

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Difference Between Men and Women

Although cellulite is a form of fat, its composition is a bit different. Did you ever wonder why cellulite is a much larger issue for women than men? A woman's connective tissue - the tissue that separates and "compartmentalizes" fat cells - exists in a 'honeycomb-shaped pattern'.

It is for this reason that in women, fat increases bulge out. In men, the connective tissue fibers run horizontally, so there is less potential for bulging and dimpling.

Wish to Get Rid of Cellulite? Eliminate Excess Fat

Fundamentally, cellulite is the result of excess fat on the body. It is not an effect of age necessarily - although to some extent the effects of aging (such as changes in the skin's character) do contribute to the appearance of cellulite, it is not inevitable and would not occur without the presence of excess fat.

Statistically speaking, women tend to lose 5 pounds of muscle and replace it with 15 pounds of fat during every decade of their adult life. Thus, a primary reason for the development of cellulite as we age is a change in the body's fat content.

So, the best way to eliminate and get rid of cellulite is by exercising and eating healthy to lower the body's fat content. Dr Wayne Westcott put 16 women between the ages of 26 and 66 on an exercise program for eight weeks, and said "all of them reposted less cellulite on their lower bodies. Seventy percent reported a lot less."

Massage

Other people swear by other methods to get rid of cellulite. In recent years, a number of different types of massage have emerged that claim to eliminate cellulite. Although one should consider the validity of these claims (as some massage techniques have more potential for success than others), some people report great success with this method.

It is thought that deep tissue pressure can "even out" cellulite deposits. However, these results are likely to be short-term.

Dangers of Liposuction

Additionally, some people choose to surgically alter the appearance of cellulite through liposuction. The risks of such a procedure are numerous and significant, and the choice to have cosmetic surgery should be seriously considered in light of the possibly grave consequences of such a decision.

Attaining Reduced Cellulite - Conclusion

Ultimately, cellulite deposits should be dealt with the same way one would deal with a "beer belly" or "thunder thighs". Exercise, a healthy diet, and a negative calorie balance will reduce fat on the body and therefore help to get rid of cellulite.

Getting rid of cellulite is not as easy as snapping one's fingers (unfortunately!) and generally, attempts to alter the body in an unnatural manner (as by quickly and drastically reducing its fat composition) are not healthy or wise. Regular exercise and a nutritious diet will reduce and possibly get rid of cellulite in a healthy way.
