Juicer Detox Recipes - Suggestions and Tips

Carrot Tomato Celery and Lemon Juice Detox Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 medium sized tomatoes
  • 2 - 3 baby carrots
  • 3 sticks of celery
  • Juice of one small lemon

    All ingredients listed above are to be mixed in the juicer, except lemon. Pour mixture in pitcher, mix lemon juice to suit taste, and stir well before drinking.


    Vegetable Super-Duper Juice

    This is best for breakfast as it kick-starts metabolism at the start of the day, stimulates the digestive system and energizes the body due to its nutrient rich contents.

    Ingredients

  • Cucumber (whole)
  • 3 - 4 sticks of celery
  • 4 handfuls of spinach
  • 8 - 10 lettuce leaves
  • Any other greens of choice
  • A handful of sprouts (if available; this is optional)
  • Fresh parsley

    All ingredients will need to be mixed in the juicer with filtered or distilled water. Lemon juice can be added for taste. Serve chilled.


    Other Juicer Detox Recipes

  • Mixed juice containing a combination of Carrot Juice, Beetroot Juice, Cucumber Juice and Celery Juice.

  • Lettuce Juice - can also be mixed with carrot juice

  • Cabbage Juice - can also be mixed with carrot juice

  • Raw Potato, Carrot and Celery Juice

  • Apple and Wheatgrass Juice

  • Apple, Beetroot and Carrot Juice (commonly called 'ABC Juice')

    You may have realized that apple juice and carrot juice forms the base of many juice mixtures. Indeed, these juices are relatively more palatable as well as readily available. On their own, these juices are also great for healing and detoxification, and can be used alone or in combination with other juices for other juicer detox recipes.

    Small amounts of garlic juice and ginger juice, if you can take the taste, can be mixed in; these juices are very healthful and detoxifying, too.

    The key thing about juicing and coming up with juicing recipes is to experiment and to mix and match. Juicing is a fun experience, and, through trial and error, you will come up with a few of your favorite juicing combinations. You will, of course, also come across some which you do not like. It is no big deal, and you can try again later or next time.

    As a general rule of thumb, use your taste buds as your broad guide. Some juices, for example celery juice, wheatgrass juice or spinach juice, are too much for most of us to consume on their own. This would be a clear sign for us to try adding in other types of more palatable juices. Carrot juice and apple juice, as mentioned above, are often the favorites.

    Various fruit and vegetable juices are beneficial in different ways, and it would be best for us to drink a variety of them, especially juices of all sorts of colors. Bottom line - do not be afraid to try different types of juices and different combinations of juicer detox recipes!
