If stress is plaguing you and preventing you from getting rest, its best to identify exactly what is getting to you. Many experts recommend that you write down everything that worries you before you go to bed. You should write until your mind is empty of worries and your eyes are beginning to feel heavy. Make it a point to put your pen and paper down, knowing that you will deal with these problems tomorrow. For many people, this method, combined with other stress reduction techniques, is very helpful in their attempts at overcoming insomnia.
