When the bursa located between the tibia and three tendons of the hamstring muscles gets inflamed, then what results would be goosefoot bursitis. This form of bursitis is named after the three tendons which protrude in front of the tibia and resemble the foot of a goose, hence the name goose foot (pes anserine). Goosefoot bursitis could be a result of exercising using the wrong technique, increasing body weight or osteoarthritis.
