A note about Possible Signs of Infertility - a Brief DiscussionIn natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases. In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies. Most of the time, couples tend to get pregnant within the first 6 months of trying to conceive. After 12 months of attempting to conceive, roughly 85 percent of couples that are trying will become pregnant. However, of those that are left, around half might not be able to get pregnant at all. That is when infertility might first be suggested to the couple. So, what are some possible signs of infertility? One of the first signs that a woman might not be able to get pregnant or will have difficulty getting pregnant is if she has abnormal menstrual periods. Although the period itself doesn't necessarily indicate that there is anything wrong, an abnormal cycle could be a symptom of another underlying issue which could cause the infertility. Endometriosis, for one thing, could be a medical condition that is characterized by abnormal periods and is often associated with increased chances of infertility. A normal period consists of bleeding anywhere from 3 to 7 days and a cycle is usually 24-33 days. Anything shorter than that or longer than that can send up red flags. Sometimes, women can have extremely heavy periods that can last for longer than 7 days and be accompanied by debilitating pain, vomiting, and even lead to passing out. One culprit of this can be endometriosis. Endometriosis has to do with scar tissue in and around your uterus and can lead to infertility. It's not rare, but in some cases it can make conceiving more difficult. If you have only been trying to get pregnant for a couple of months and have been unsuccessful, then it doesn't necessarily indicate that you are infertile. There can be a variety of issues at play and it's best to keep trying for at least a year before you really start to become concerned about having signs of infertility. However, there are some risk factors regarding possible signs of infertility that you should keep in mind if you are trying to become pregnant and haven't been able to in 6 months. You might want to go ahead and talk to your physician if you are over the age of 30 or you haven't had a period in 6 months. In addition, you might want to discuss your concerns regarding possible signs of infertility with your physician if you are a woman that has a history of abnormal periods. This could mean painful periods, skipped cycles, long cycles, or cycles that are very short. If you have been able to conceive in the past but you've suffered more than one miscarriage, then you might want to consult with your physician as well, especially if you are having difficulty getting pregnant again. As a man, if you have been diagnosed with any sexual diseases in the past or if you have a history of prostate or testicular problems, then you might want to talk to your physician if you and your partner are having difficulty getting pregnant. Unfortunately, sometimes, there are no signs of infertility other than the fact that conceiving doesn't occur. But there is always hope, especially using safe natural solutions, so please keep the faith.
