Dealing With What Causes Disease - tackling root causesby Webmaster, All4NaturalHealth.com Natural Health Principle No. 2 Natural health and healing seeks to deal with what causes disease, tackling its root causes. When you have a cold and have a cough and a runny nose, the cold itself is NOT the disease; the cough and the runny nose are merely symptoms. In fact, they are intelligent healing reactions produced by your body's immune system, to try and flush out the bacteria or virus which is causing the problem - these are the actual cause of disease in this instance. When you develop a fever, it is a sign that your body is attempting to destroy foreign invaders; at increased temperatures, your body produces more white blood cells (which form a critical part of your body's immune system), which also travel faster to the site(s) suffering distress. The fever is, again, NOT the disease. Here, what causes disease are the foreign invaders. Inflammation as well as swelling of tonsils and lymph nodes are also signs of your immune system getting to work. They are correct and good responses, attempting to correct or destroy disease causes. When a person develops cancer, it is a sign that the body's systems are not functioning properly in many ways. The tumor itself is NOT the disease, per se. In the case of cancer, there are always numerous causes of disease. In each of these scenarios, as well as in others, attacking or removing the symptom does NOT actually cure or heal anything. These methods - removing symptoms - don't get to the root cause of disease. For example, withering leaves are not the "disease" per se, and watering, cutting or removing the leaves will not solve the problem; we would need to get to the bottom of the issue, and correct the root causes. This can be done by providing the necessary growth elements i.e. nourishment in the form of water and nutrients via the soil, sunshine and air, as well as removing any hampering factors, such as poisonous chemicals, which may exist. In fact, suppressing symptoms interferes with the healing process and harms the body. It violates what the body is trying to do to heal itself and creates an internal environment for disease to thrive. This weakens the body in the long run and creates new problems in the future. Correcting the root of what causes disease is imperative in order to effect true healing. For all diseases, and especially for chronic degenerative conditions, what causes disease are usually one or several of the following basic factors: environmental and biological toxins in the body; lack of the necessary nutrition; malfunctioning systems, such as the lymphatic and digestive systems; a weak immune system; the presence of unresolved emotional or spiritual issues; and a negative attitude and mental outlook.
